ALMOS is the brain child of a group of old students who continued to feel connected to the institution many years after leaving school and dreamt to associate with it in some way. The school had started functioning in the early seventies and the first batch of students passed out of this institution in 1983. Many attempts had been made earlier to form an alumni association but the decision to form a formal platform finally took shape in the grand get-together organized in 2019, which had brought together students from the batches of 1983 to 2000. 

ALMOS is an excellent platform to celebrate shared experiences, reconnect with friends and enhance the sense of belonging. There is a general misconception that alumni associations are just charitable organizations, meant for affluent and successful people. That is not true, considering that each association has a different genre. Though ALMOS banks on the contributions of former students, it also offers a host of opportunities to its members. It brings together like-minded individuals and provides opportunities for networking with former students with high profile, thus opening up avenues for broadening their scope.  The quality of the members of the association contributes a great deal in making it more active and effective, and can be instrumental in providing great tools for building careers, for maximizing the earning potential or keeping the people connected.
